Role Description As a Graduate Developer at Hunter Wave, you will work full time on-site in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, contributing to the development and maintenance of device management software for vending machines. Your day-to-day tasks will include writing and testing code, fixing bugs, and assisting in the implementation of new features under the guidance of senior developers.
You will collaborate with the engineering team to integrate software components, participate in code reviews, and document technical solutions. The role also involves learning and applying best practices in software development, working with development tools and frameworks, and supporting deployment and troubleshooting activities.
Qualifications
- Foundational skills in software development, including coding in at least one up-to-date programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript).
- Basic understanding of software engineering principles such as version control, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Familiarity with web or backend development concepts, APIs, and databases is beneficial.
- Ability to analyze technical problems, learn new tools quickly, and apply logical thinking to find solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or relevant practical experience.
- Interest in IoT, device management, or embedded systems is a plus.
- Eligibility to work on-site in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex and willingness to learn in an entry-level, mentorship-focused environment.
