About the role

We are seeking a Grocery Manager to join the team at our Nagambie store in Victoria. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the grocery department operations in a dynamic retail environment.

As Grocery

Manager, you will be instrumental in driving sales performance, maintaining product quality and availability, and ensuring our customers receive an outstanding shopping experience. You will report to the Store Manager and play a key role in the strategic direction and day-to-day success of the grocery section.

Key responsibilities

- Managing and supervising the grocery department team, including recruitment, training, scheduling and performance management
- Overseeing stock rotation, replenishment and availability to ensure shelves are well-stocked and products are displayed attractively
- Implementing and maintaining food safety and health compliance standards across the department
- Ordering and controlling grocery stock levels to minimise waste whilst meeting customer demand
- Ensuring effective merchandising and promotional activities to drive customer engagement and sales
- Managing department budgets and controlling costs whilst maintaining quality standards
- Supporting the Store Manager in achieving store-wide objectives and contributing to the overall success of the location
- Maintaining a clean,



safe and well-organised department environment

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in a grocery or retail management role, preferably within a supermarket environment
- Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to motivate, develop and manage a team effectively
- Strong understanding of grocery operations, including stock management, ordering and product rotation
- Excellent customer service mindset with a commitment to delivering outstanding experiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement
- Proficiency in using retail management systems and point-of-sale technology
- Ability to work flexibly, including retail hours such as mornings, evenings and weekends as required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A safety-conscious approach to all workplace activities
