Your New Role

As a Grounds Maintenance Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining parks, gardens, streetscapes and open spaces to a high standard. This hands-on role will see you undertaking a variety of horticultural, arboricultural and grounds maintenance tasks while helping to ensure public spaces remain safe, attractive and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities Include:

- Mowing, edging and maintaining turf areas
- Pruning trees, shrubs and garden beds
- Tree maintenance and basic arboriculture duties
- Planting, mulching and landscaping activities
- Weed identification and control
- Irrigation maintenance and repairs
- Operating mowers, brush cutters, chainsaws and other grounds maintenance equipment
- Assisting with garden and landscape improvement projects
- Loading, unloading and transporting materials and equipment




- Completing general site clean-up and maintenance activities
- Identifying and reporting hazards and maintenance issues
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment

What You'll Need to Succeed:

- Certificate III in Horticulture, Parks & Gardens, Landscaping or Arboriculture, or substantial industry experience
- Arborist qualifications and/or experience highly regarded
- Experience operating grounds maintenance equipment and small plant
- White Card essential
- MR Licence preferred but not essential
- Strong understanding of safe work practices
- Ability to undertake physically demanding outdoor work
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively within a team setting
