About the role

Nindilingarri Cultural Health Services is seeking a full-time Health Promotion Nutrition Program Officer to join our team in Fitzroy Crossing, Western Australia. In this significant role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering health promotion programs focused on nutrition and healthy eating to support the wellbeing of our local community.

What you'll be doing

- Design and implement engaging nutrition education and healthy eating programs for community members of all ages
- Coordinate and facilitate group workshops, cooking classes, and other interactive nutrition-focused activities
- Provide one-on-one nutrition counselling and support to individuals and families
- Collaborate with local health services, schools, and community organisations to promote healthy lifestyles
- Develop and distribute nutrition-related resources, such as informational materials and recipe books
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of health promotion programs, reporting on outcomes and making recommendations for improvement
- Contribute to the overall health and wellbeing strategy of Nindilingarri Cultural Health Services

What we're looking for

- Tertiary qualification in nutrition, dietetics, health promotion, or a related field
- Minimum 1 years' experience in health promotion, community engagement, or delivering nutrition-focused programs
- Strong understanding of nutrition, dietary guidelines, and the social determinants of health
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,



with the ability to engage effectively with diverse community groups
- Experience in program planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Demonstrated commitment to improving health outcomes and empowering communities
- Familiarity with the local Fitzroy Crossing community and cultural context is highly desirable
