Role Description

This casual with the opportunity to grow into full-time Height Safety Technician role is an on-site position based in the Greater Brisbane Area. The role involves installing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining height safety systems such as anchor points, static lines, guardrails, ladders, and access systems in line with relevant standards and regulations. The technician will conduct risk assessments, complete safety documentation, and provide clear guidance on safe use of equipment to clients and onsite teams.

Day-to-day tasks include working at heights, using hand and power tools, troubleshooting system issues, and collaborating with supervisors,



project managers, and safety personnel to ensure protected and efficient operations. The role also requires accurate record-keeping, adherence to company procedures, and proactive reporting of hazards or non-compliance.

Qualifications

- Strong Health & Safety, Setting Health and Safety (EHS), Occupational Health, and Workplace Safety skills, with the ability to apply regulations and standards in practical onsite situations.
- Effective Communication skills, including the ability to explain safety requirements clearly, complete documentation, and interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Relevant certifications for working at heights, use of fall protection systems, and familiarity with Australian standards for height safety (or ability to obtain these within a short timeframe).
- Experience in technical installation, maintenance, or inspection work, ideally within construction, industrial, or facilities environments.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and capacity to work safely in physically demanding conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites across the Greater Brisbane Area.
