Are you someone who enjoys bringing comfort, calm, and companionship to others? We’re looking for a friendly and supportive volunteer to assist residents attending our on site chapel services.

About the Role -

As a Chapel Service Assistant, you’ll play a meaningful part in ensuring residents can attend and enjoy their weekly service. Many residents treasure this time for reflection, connection, and peace — and your support makes this possible.

What You’ll Be Doing -

• Gently supporting residents as they make their way to the chapel
• Escorting residents back to their cottage after the service
• Offering a warm presence and friendly conversation
• Helping residents find a seat and settle comfortably
• Assisting staff to ensure everyone feels included and supported
• Being an extra set of supportive hands before, during, and after service

This Role Would Suit Someone Who -

• Is warm, patient, and enjoys spending time with older people
• Is comfortable walking with residents or accompanying mobility aids
• Respects diverse faith backgrounds and personal beliefs
• Can offer a calm, reassuring presence
• Loves helping others feel connected and valued
