A veterinary hospital in Samford Valley is looking to build its pool of Locum Veterinary Nurses who can assist with full-day weekend shifts on an ad hoc basis.

This could be a outstanding option if you’re already working during the week and would like to pick up occasional weekend work without committing to a regular second role.

The Role

You’ll be supporting a busy veterinary hospital seeing a combination of general practice and emergency cases.

The team is particularly open to nurses with a strong GP background . Previous ECC experience is beneficial but isn’t essential,



particularly for experienced nurses who are interested in developing their emergency and hospital nursing skills.

About You

Ideally, you will:

- Have solid small animal veterinary nursing experience
- Be confident with general nursing duties and patient care
- Have good communication and teamwork skills
- Be comfortable within a busy hospital environment
- Have some ECC exposure or an interest in gaining further experience
- Be available for occasional full-day weekend shifts

The hospital is happy to support nurses transitioning from GP into a role with greater exposure to emergency cases.
