About The Role

Are you ready to learn while you work and build a rewarding career with Canberra's water utility?
Icon Water is seeking enthusiastic, proactive, motivated and safety-focused people to join our team through our Early Careers Program.
We currently have opportunities available at our Lower Molonglo Wastewater Treatment Plant in Canberra for 2 x Full time Trainees.
Our traineeships provide an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience while undertaking formal study.
What you’ll do:
You may be involved in:
- Learning how to operate, monitor and control various plant and processes
- Learn how to undertake process sampling and laboratory analysis
- Detailed inspection, analysis and reporting of plant and equipment
- Ensure all workplace, health, safety and environmental procedures are followed
- Developing professional and technical skills through structured learning and mentoring
We’re looking for people who have:
- Completed Year 12 (or equivalent)
- A willingness to learn
- A positive attitude and commitment to teamwork
- A strong focus on workplace safety
