Position Details

We are seeking outstanding and enthusiastic Primary Education Assistants to join our team at St John Bosco College. These positions are part time (0.6FTE) and full time (1.0), commencing on January 1, 2027. We have two ongoing positions and two temporary positions available.

St John Bosco College is a Catholic co-educational College in its eleventh year of operation. The College is situated in Piara Waters, a southern suburb of Perth, Western Australia. We commenced in 2015 with students from Kindergarten to Year 2.

In 2026, we have 1400 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12, as well as an OSHC facility. Our innovative building design has a focus on shared, flexible learning spaces which support best practice, 21st century teaching and learning methods. The College motto “JOY IN LEARNING” is strongly exemplified in the person, life and teachings of our patron, St John Bosco.

Selection Criteria

- A robust commitment to the Catholic ethos of Catholic Education and St John Bosco College and a willingness to promote and support Catholic values as a member of the Bosco community.
- Have a commitment to Child Safety and Protection consistent with the CEWA Child Safe Framework
- Be an enthusiastic, flexible, and cooperative educator who will work collaboratively with all staff.
- Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Demonstrate the capacity and enthusiasm to build community by participating fully in College activities in collaboration with staff, parents, students and the St Francis Xavier Parish.
- Possess a high level of personal integrity and credibility, as well as maintaining confidentiality.
- Represent the College in a positive manner, whether onsite, in the wider community or on social media.
- Participate actively in ongoing professional learning.




- Previous experience as an Education Assistant is desirable.
- One Education Assistant position (1.0FTE) requires the ability to teach MacqLit.

Qualifications Required

- A willingness to complete Accreditation requirements as specified by Catholic Education WA.
- Hold or be in progression towards a tertiary qualification in School-Based Education Support or equivalent.
- Hold a current National Coordinated Criminal History Check.
- On appointment, successful applicants will require a Working with Children Check. Application forms are available at certain Australia Post Outlets throughout the State.
