About the role

TJ Electrical Group Pty Ltd is seeking a 2nd-3rd Year Apprentice to join our team in Glenview, QLD. This is a full time position that offers an excellent opportunity to continue developing your electrical skills under the mentorship of experienced professionals. As a 2nd-3rd year apprentice, you will be progressing through your formal apprenticeship programme whilst gaining practical, hands-on experience across a variety of electrical projects.

This role is integral to our operations and will help you build the foundation for a successful career in the electrical trades.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting qualified electricians with the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment
- Learning and applying safe working practices and electrical standards on job sites
- Performing fundamental electrical tasks such as running cables, fitting conduit, installing outlets and switches under supervision
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation
- Assisting with testing and fault-finding on electrical installations
- Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order
- Supporting the completion of domestic, commercial and industrial electrical projects
- Attending required apprenticeship training courses and theoretical instruction
- Adhering to all workplace health and safety requirements and site-specific protocols

What we're looking for

- Currently enrolled in or progressing through a recognised electrical apprenticeship programme (2nd-3rd year level)
- A solid understanding of basic electrical principles and installation practices gained from your first year of training
- A valid driver's licence or ability to arrange reliable transport to job sites in the Glenview area
- Demonstrated commitment to health and safety standards in the workplace




- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions accurately
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour and work at heights where required
- A genuine interest in developing your skills and knowledge within the electrical trades
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced electricians
