Role Description The Accountant will work full time on-site at BendMark’s , supporting clients with day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.

Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, performing bank reconciliations, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures. The role also involves preparing financial statements and reports, supporting tax compliance activities, and ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately and in line with relevant accounting standards. The Accountant will collaborate closely with other team members, respond to client inquiries,



and contribute to process improvements that enhance the quality and efficiency of BendMark’s services.

Qualifications

- Strong technical accounting skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency with bookkeeping and accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and solid Excel skills.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements applicable in Australia.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work both independently and as part of a team in office.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in public practice or a bookkeeping/accounting firm is preferred, especially with small and medium-sized businesses.
