About the Organisation
ACHS International (ACHSI) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS), a not-for-profit organisation based in Sydney, Australia. Founded in 2005, ACHSI has grown to become a leading global healthcare quality improvement partner to a diverse set of organisations across 25 countries in the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
ACHSI provides services across four key domains – quality programs (including health service accreditation), performance & outcomes, education, and consulting. ACHSI also has a subsidiary company ACHSI Middle East (located in Dubai Healthcare City) and ACHSI APAC (located in Singapore) and managed by full time Regional Directors to better service the growth in the region.

About The Role
We are seeking a Board Director with international healthcare experience to support the exciting future and growth at ACHSI. More details about the Selection Criteria including skills required can be found below. Information on the current ACHSI Board Directors can be found here.
The composition of the Board includes at least one (1) Director appointed from the ACHS Board and at least two (2) Directors appointed external to ACHS or ACHSI. Each Director can serve a term of up to three (3) years, but no more than nine (9) years in total either consecutively or not.

Selection Criteria
1. Demonstrates a range of appropriate skills, qualifications,
and experience to support the collective knowledge, skills and experience required on the ACHS International Board
2. Provides diversity of thought, experience, demographics, and other attributes
3. Demonstrates unwavering integrity and ethics
4. Available to attend Board meetings and engage constructively in Board discussions so to add overall value to ACHS International
5. Demonstrates competency as a director and complies with the requirement to be a ‘fit and proper’ person
6. Demonstrates depth of understanding of the role and legal obligations of an ACHS International Director
7. Is not prohibited by law from being a director of a company in any country
8. Demonstrates extensive knowledge of and/or experience in a healthcare environment (e.g., provider, regulator, government, etc.)
9. Demonstrated international healthcare experience currently or within the past five (5) years to support business development (i.e., outside Australia). Digital transformation and/or relevant market region experience (Middle East or APAC) preferred.
