Established in 1925, Toosey Aged and Community Care is a proud not-for-profit organisation serving the Northern Midlands region of Tasmania. Toosey provides residential aged care, community services, and independent living options for older Tasmanians in a supportive and person-centred environment. Based in Longford and reporting to the Community Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality services to older persons living independently in their community. As the first point of contact for our community clients, you will welcome visitors and callers, directing queries to the appropriate team member/s. You will also be responsible for providing administrative support to our community services team and broader Toosey team.
This position is part-time (0.4 FTE).
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Providing reception coverage, ensuring the space is welcoming and inclusive for clients and their families, visitors and employees.
- As the first point of contact (including in-person and telephone), ensure enquiries are handled promptly, sensitively and with confidentiality.
- Assisting with data entry and correspondence,
as well as providing a broad range of administrative duties to support the community team.
As the successful candidate, you will ideally have:
- Proven experience working in general administrative roles in a quick-paced working environment
- Sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with individuals
- Sound organisational and time management skills with the ability to work independently, under limited supervision.
- An understanding of the Aged Care Act 2024 and Strengthened Quality Standards is desirable
- A Current drivers licence
- A National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
