We are Western Australia's largest privately-owned fruit packer and wholesaler of quality fruit and one of the largest private growers in Australia. The business operates in a regional area and is committed to sustainable farming practices, workforce development, and compliance with Australian agricultural and workplace standards.

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Agricultural Technician to support the management of our farming operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in soil and plant health assessment, pest and disease control, irrigation and fertilization management, and compliance with sustainable farming practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct soil testing and analysis to determine appropriate fertilization and irrigation strategies.
- Monitor plant health and implement pest and disease management programs in accordance with sustainable farming practices.
- Assist in the planning and execution of planting, pruning, thinning, and harvesting schedules.
- Implement water conservation techniques and manage irrigation systems to optimize plant growth.
- Maintain detailed records of crop performance,



soil conditions, and pest control measures.
- Operate and maintain agricultural machinery, including sprayers and irrigation systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to farm workers on best agricultural practices.
- Assist with research and implementation of creative farming techniques.

Skills & Qualifications

- Education: Diploma or higher qualification in Agricultural Science, Horticulture, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in agricultural or horticultural management.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of soil science, pest and disease management, and irrigation systems.
- Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with agricultural industry regulations.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyse crop performance and implement corrective actions.
- Communication: Strong ability to train and mentor farm staff.

Salary: $79,500 to $95,000 per annum

- Full-time position - minimum of 38 hours per week
