The AIHW Section 26 (s26) transfer register is open for candidates to register a general expression of interest for employment with the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare.



We are seeking existing ongoing APS employees from APS2 - EL2 who are appropriately skilled and experienced for positions on a permanent or temporary transfer dependent on business requirements.

To be eligible to apply for this vacancy, you must:

- be an Australian citizen
- undergo any required pre-employment checks, including a police records check
- obtain and maintain a valid Security Clearance if required by the institute
- a probationary period of six (6) months will apply to any new engagement to the APS
- This opportunity is only open to ongoing APS employees external to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare.

The transfer register allows the institute to access suitable applicants for long and short-term work opportunities.

You will only be contacted if a vacancy arises which requires your skills and experience. There is no guarantee that you will receive an offer of employment while your application remains on the register.

Applications on the register will remain active until 1 December 2026, or until you withdraw your application. Should you wish to remain on the register after this time, you will need to reapply.
