About the role

We're a small Australian software company looking for one experienced phone person to join us on a part time basis, up to 20 hours per week. You'll work from home, with flexible hours arranged around your schedule.

The job is straightforward: make outbound calls to businesses, have a good conversation, and book appointments for our Managing Director. That's it. You don't do the selling, prepare proposals, or need to understand the product in any technical depth — that's handled for you. Your job is to get through to the right person and secure a time in the diary.

What you'll be doing

- Making outbound cold calls to businesses from a provided list
- Getting past gatekeepers and reaching decision makers
- Having a short, credible conversation about why a meeting is worth their time
- Booking appointments and keeping simple notes on the outcome of each call
- Following up on calls that didn't land the first time

What we're looking for The one thing that genuinely matters is that you've done outbound phone work before and you're comfortable calling people who aren't expecting you. This is a real skill, and it's the whole job. If you've worked in telemarketing, appointment setting, outbound sales, fundraising,



market research or membership renewals, you'll know straight away whether this suits you.

- Demonstrable experience in outbound calling
- Clear, confident telephone manner and good English
- Resilient — you understand that most calls end in a no, and that's fine
- Self-directed, since you'll be working on your own from home
- A quiet space to work and a reliable internet connection

You do not need experience selling software, or any background in our industry. We'll give you everything you need to know.
