This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of strategy, policy, performance, and evaluation, supporting some of the state's most important investments and delivering evidence-based insights that influence executive decision-making

In this role, you'll lead and commission evaluations, partner with policy and program teams, and provide expert advice that helps ensure government investments achieve the outcomes that matter most for communities, the environment, and future generations.

You’ll work with senior leaders and stakeholders across the department to answer critical questions:

- Are our programs delivering the intended outcomes?
- What does the evidence tell us?
- Where should we invest next?
- How can we achieve even greater impact?

Your work won't sit on a shelf. It will inform decisions at the highest levels and help shape future policy, strategy, and funding priorities.

About You

We're seeking someone who brings:

- Robust experience in evaluation, performance measurement, business intelligence, research, reporting or strategic analysis.
- The ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence working in complex, fast-paced environments with competing priorities.
- Experience translating evidence into actionable insights and recommendations.

Essential Requirements

- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience in a senior technical role in leading the measurement, modelling,



reporting and/or evaluation/review of policy, strategy, portfolio, program or project outcomes and benefits
