The Library is seeking to fill a non-ongoing APS 5 Coordinator role in the Rights Management Section of the Collection Branch until February 2027, with the potential to become ongoing.

As the Coordinator, Rights Management you will coordinate activities within the Rights Management Program and provides specialist advice on rights issues, including copyright, privacy, defamation, licensing, access conditions, Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property, and access requests, while managing rights agreements and access arrangements. Working under limited direction, you will engage with internal and external stakeholders to deliver advice, draft communications, manage rights information, and support rights-related aspects of projects across the Collection, Engagement and Collaboration branches.

We are looking for an applicant that will bring a genuine interest in balancing access to collections with legal,



ethical and cultural considerations. They will be a confident communicator who can build trusted relationships, navigate complex rights-related issues, and provide practical, risk-based advice. They will be highly organised, adaptable and collaborative, with the ability to coordinate competing priorities while contributing to continuous improvement across the Rights Management function.

To succeed in this role you will have:

- Qualifications or equivalent experience in Information Management, Law, Arts, Humanities or Social Sciences or other relevant field.
- Experience of rights management in a cultural heritage collecting institution.

Applicants should be Australian citizens to be eligible for APS employment.

The preferred applicants will be required to successfully undergo a police record check and must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information.
