The Opportunity An ASD 6 and EL1 Solutions Architect may lead a team and will be accountable for the outcomes of the teams work through appropriate use of resources to produce and achieve outcomes. An EL1 Solutions Architect will also be responsible for actively managing key stakeholder relationships.

Key Duties:

- Work collaboratively with delivery divisions to develop designs, policies, standards and frameworks to support a broad range of business use cases, ensuring consistency across the organisation, and compliance with security standards.
- Ensures appropriate tools and methods are identified, understood and employed in architecture development. In order to retain consistency with specified requirements across projects or programs.
- Facilitate the review and evaluation of proposals against existing architectural standards, guidelines, principles, design patterns and technical reference models.
- Act as a subject matter expert and a source of guidance for projects to ensure architectural designs and solutions align with ASD’s Enterprise Architectures.
- Demonstrate detailed research and analysis skills in support of the solution design activities and the development of options to achieve the required business needs.
- Represent the interests of the ASD on a range of internal and external forums and committees.
- Draw upon project management knowledge to contribute to project plans and documentation.
- Actively manage key stakeholder relationships and be required to identify relevant stakeholders’ expectations and concerns to develop and communicate methodologies and practices to achieve outcomes.

To be eligible for employment with ASD, you must meet all of the following eligibility criteria:

- Australian Citizenship - Applicants must be an Australian citizen.



Only in exceptional circumstances can this requirement be waivered.

- Organisational Suitability Assessment - The preferred applicant will be required to undergo an Organisational Suitability Assessment (see Organisational Assessment section).

- Security Clearance - It is a condition of employment that applicants are willing and able to obtain and maintain the requisite security clearance for the duration of their employment with ASD.

- Health Assessment - The preferred applicant may be required to undergo a medical examination conducted by the Agency’s preferred medical provider.

Desirable Qualifications, Experience or Training

- Relevant tertiary degree in an ICT, business, organisational change management, information systems, computer science, computer engineering, data engineering, software engineering, cyber security or related fields.
- Industry certifications in relevant architectural and security frameworks, methodologies or notations. (e.g. TOGAF and/or Archimate Enterprise Architecture certifications, Business Process Modelling Notation, SABSA, CISSP, BCS Enterprise Architecture).
- Industry Architecture certifications related to large scale cloud providers (AWS, Azure).
- Cloud infrastructure and systems, Customer Relationship Management systems, and/or experience with cloud migrations, and telephony call centre integration.
- Contribute or develop solution architecture documentation and artefacts, solution designs, architecture diagrams, integration/data flows, technical decisions and implementation guidance.
- Certifications in portfolio, program and project methodologies. (Agile, Prince 2, PMP, Lean Six Sigma).
- Demonstrated ability to perform against relevant SFIA 9 skill categories STPL, ARCH.
