About the role

CMI Hino is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this full-time role provides accounting and administrative support to the finance team and Department Managers, ensuring accurate financial reporting and the delivery of key management information to support business performance.

What you’ll be doing?

- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
- Preparing reconciliations and analysing financial data
- Processing sales files and supporting debtor management activities
- Providing accounting support to operational departments
- Assisting with process improvement initiatives across the finance function
- Supporting payroll and other finance-related duties as required

We are seeking someone who has

- An Accounting Degree (CPA accreditation preferred) or be working towards completion
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Sound computer skills and attention to detail
- Positive commercial acumen and administrative capability
- A professional and collaborative approach
- Previous administrative or accounting experience, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry
