Assistant Poultry Farm Manager – Broiler Farm

Location: Bulahdelah, NSW

Salary: $95,000 package + substantial additional benefits

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Assistant Poultry Farm Manager to join a well-established broiler operation located in Bulahdelah, NSW.

The farm consists of 6 sheds housing approximately 250,000 broilers. Working alongside the Farm Manager and farm labourer, you will assist with the day-to-day operation of the farm while maintaining high standards of bird welfare, biosecurity and farm performance.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with the daily operation of 6 broiler sheds
- Monitoring bird health, welfare and shed conditions
- Managing feeding, ventilation, temperature and environmental controls
- Operating Rotem and SKOV controllers
- Completing farm checks and required record keeping
- Assisting with bird pick-ups
- Monitoring equipment and reporting maintenance requirements
- Maintaining high standards of biosecurity, cleanliness and animal welfare
- Working closely with the Farm Manager and farm labourer to ensure smooth farm operations

Previous experience with Rotem or SKOV controllers would be beneficial; however, full training will be provided, and experience with similar poultry or agricultural systems will be highly regarded. Package & Benefits The position offers an attractive overall package, including:





- $95,000 salary package

- Electricity provided, valued at approximately $5,000 per year
- Water provided, including access to a water tanker for filling property tanks
- Vehicle available if required, with registration, insurance and CTP covered by the employer
- One weekend off per month
- Regular rostered days off during the week
- Support from the Farm Manager and labourer with morning mortality collection following overnight pick-ups

The employee will be responsible for vehicle maintenance and fuel where the supplied vehicle is used.

- Reliable, practical and willing to work hands-on
- Experienced in poultry, livestock, farming or agricultural operations
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a small team
- Willing to undertake early morning and overnight duties when required
- Focused on animal welfare, biosecurity and maintaining farm standards
- Comfortable learning new systems and farm procedures
- Looking for a stable, long-term opportunity
