Position Purpose

The Senior Human Resources Advisor provides high-level, practical advice across industrial relations, employee relations and general human resources matters throughout Enscope.

The position partners closely with leaders, managers and employees across Enscope’s corporate, engineering, project and site-based operations. It is responsible for supporting effective people management, maintaining compliance with Australian workplace legislation and industrial instruments, and ensuring that employment matters are managed fairly, consistently and in line with Enscope’s values and business objectives.

This is a senior, hands‑on advisory position requiring strong judgement, commercial awareness and the confidence to manage complex and sensitive workplace matters. The role will contribute to both day-to‑day HR delivery and the continued development of Enscope’s people practices, policies and workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

Industrial Relations

Provide timely and commercially practical industrial relations advice to senior leaders, managers and project teams.

Interpret and advise on applicable legislation, modern awards, enterprise agreements, employment contracts, policies and workplace practices.

Monitor legislative and industrial relations developments and advise the business of any resulting risks, obligations or required changes.

Support the development, negotiation, implementation and interpretation of enterprise agreements and other industrial instruments, where applicable.

Assist with employee consultation obligations relating to workplace change, restructures, redundancies, transfers, changes to working arrangements and project mobilisation or demobilisation.

Develop and maintain constructive relationships with employees, employee representatives, unions and other external stakeholders.

Support Enscope in industrial disputes, grievances, conciliation matters and proceedings before the Fair Work Commission or other relevant bodies.

Identify emerging industrial relations risks and recommend proactive mitigation strategies.

Assist project and operational teams with workforce planning and industrial relations strategies for new and existing projects.

Employee Relations

Manage complex and sensitive employee relations matters, including performance concerns, misconduct, grievances, complaints, workplace conflict and disciplinary processes.

Provide managers with advice and coaching on procedural fairness, natural justice, documentation and appropriate decision‑making.

Plan and conduct workplace investigations, including preparing findings and recommendations.

Support formal performance management processes, including performance improvement plans and probationary reviews.

Provide advice regarding termination of employment, redundancy, abandonment of employment, extended absence and medical capacity matters.

Partner with leaders to resolve workplace issues early and minimise operational, legal and reputational risk.

Maintain accurate, confidential and defensible records of employee relations matters.





Coordinate with external legal advisers and specialist consultants when required.

Human Resources

Provide end‑to‑end HR advice and support across the employee lifecycle.

Partner with managers to understand workforce requirements and provide practical people solutions aligned with operational needs.

Support onboarding, probation, performance reviews, remuneration reviews, employee development, succession planning, retention and offboarding.

Prepare and review employment contracts, variation letters, position descriptions, policies and other employment documentation.

Provide advice on remuneration, allowances, classifications, working arrangements, leave entitlements and employment conditions.

Assist with organisational restructures, workforce changes and position design.

Work collaboratively with Talent Acquisition to support workforce planning, recruitment, internal appointments and employment offers.

Support leaders in managing employee wellbeing, attendance, conduct and workplace behaviour.

Respond to employee enquiries professionally, consistently and confidentially.

Policy, Governance and Compliance

Develop, review and implement HR and industrial relations policies, procedures, guidelines and supporting documentation.

Ensure HR practices remain consistent with the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, applicable awards and agreements, and other relevant legislation.

Conduct reviews and audits of employment practices, employee records and HR processes to identify compliance gaps and improvement opportunities.

Maintain awareness of legislative changes and support the implementation of necessary business updates.

Assist with internal and external audits and provide employment‑related information when required.

Promote consistent application of Enscope’s policies, processes and employment standards throughout the business.

Support the preparation of reports, workforce data and people‑related insights for senior management.

Qualifications and Experience

Tertiary qualification in human resources, industrial relations, employment relations, law, business or a related discipline.

Significant HR and industrial relations experience, including experience in a senior advisory or business partnering capacity.

Experience supporting both corporate and site‑based workforces.

Experience within engineering, construction, energy, resources, infrastructure, professional services or another project‑based environment.

Demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations and industrial relations matters.

Strong working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, up-to-date awards and other relevant Australian employment legislation.

Experience conducting workplace investigations and managing disciplinary, grievance and performance management processes.

Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply employment contracts, workplace policies, awards and enterprise agreements.

Experience advising managers through organisational change, consultation,



restructuring and redundancy processes.

Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, accurate and defensible employment documentation.

High level of discretion, integrity and judgement when handling confidential and sensitive matters.

Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and conflict‑resolution skills.

Experience with enterprise agreement negotiations, union engagement or Fair Work Commission matters.

Experience working across multiple Australian jurisdictions.

Strong industrial and employee relations knowledge.

Commercial and operational awareness.

Sound judgement and confident decision‑making.

Ability to manage sensitive and complex matters calmly.
