The school is set on 32 hectares of magnificent grounds and is only three kilometres from Adelaide’s city centre. With beautiful buildings, both historic and up-to-date, our educational facilities and sports fields are among the best in the country. Our grounds are extensive, with seven ovals, a hockey pitch, 20 tennis courts and a state-of-the-art sports centre with swimming pool and full gymnasium. We also have an outdoor education campus at Finniss, near Lake Alexandrina, about an hour’s drive from Adelaide.

St Peter’s College is an Anglican boys’ school, offering an exceptional education to approximately 1,650 students from the Early Learning Centre through to Year 12. We also offer boarding facilities and our modern Boarding House provides a homely, safe and comfortable experience for about 100 boys from Years 7 to 12.

Job Description

About the position:

St Peter’s College is seeking to appoint an outstanding Head of Faculty – Languages in our Senior School. This leadership position carries responsibility for the strategic direction and day-to-day management of the Languages Faculty, including leadership of teaching staff, curriculum development, administration, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

The successful candidate will be an experienced and passionate language educator who is committed to inspiring students to engage deeply with language learning and cultural understanding. They will be a collaborative leader with demonstrated experience in curriculum leadership, staff development, and the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning programs.

The ability to teach Spanish will be highly regarded.

This is a five-year tenure leadership appointment with an ongoing substantive teaching position, commencing at the beginning of the 2027 School year.

- Have a willingness to support the School’s values and Anglican ethos.
- Hold relevant teaching qualifications.




- Demonstrated high level of competency in teaching practice.
- Leadership experience in an educational setting.
- Experience in curriculum development and planning.
- Have a South Australian Teachers Registration and Working with Children Check.
- Provide evidence of completed training in Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) – Fundamentals & Masterclass and First Aid.
