About The Role

We are in search of a proactive and driven Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist who will play a key role in continuously improving Northrop’s talent acquisition and attraction practices, whilst delivering expert end-to-end talent acquisition services across the business. This role is an interesting blend of strategic planning, talent sourcing, stakeholder engagement and candidate management. You will contribute to Northrop’s strategic growth and workforce planning through managing strategic hires as well as optimising our early careers program. You’ll use your creativity to develop a market engagement plan to maximise opportunities with sponsorships, industry engagements, career fairs, workshops and networking events. Utilising your extensive experience in end-to-end recruitment in a professional services environment, you’ll demonstrate your initiative to create new ideas or approaches, progress work and stay one-step ahead. Our talent is based across the east coast of Australia so interstate travel will be required from time to time.

Day To Day Responsibilities Include

- Continuous Improvement: Explore ways to continuously improve talent practices, processes and outcomes. Use recruitment data and reporting to monitor and improve hiring outcomes, including sourcing effectiveness, time to hire, candidate experience and quality of hire. Develop initiatives that increase Northrop’s reputation and EVP.
- Build a Strategic Talent Pipeline: Proactively develop and maintain talent maps and pipelines to identify current and future talent opportunities, including emerging and experienced talent. Develop targeted sourcing strategies to engage passive candidates and build relationships ahead of future hiring needs.
- Candidate Management:



Develop robust relationships with external talent through value-add engagement strategies. Strong commitment to delivering a positive, engaging and inclusive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with candidates and represent Northrop authentically in the talent market.
- Internal Partnerships: Partner with managers to develop and implement effective talent acquisition and attraction strategies that will support Northrop's strategic growth. Provide expert, hands-on guidance at all stages of the recruitment process, including advertising, screening of potential candidates, interview logistics, managing candidates, reference checking and organising letters of offer. Embed diversity and inclusion considerations throughout the recruitment process. Challenge and influence hiring approaches where appropriate, using market insights to help managers make informed talent decisions
- Insights and Intelligence: Provide talent insights and recommendations to support talent attraction strategies and workforce planning. Monitor market trends, talent availability and emerging skill requirements and translate insights into practical recommendations for the business.
- External Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders such as universities, TAFE’s, engineering societies and professional bodies such as Engineers Australia.
- Lead the Early Careers Program: Lead the strategic enhancement of the early careers program,



seeking strategies to align Northrop’s talent attraction initiatives with future workplace planning. Attend early career events at various universities and TAFE’s, acting as a brand ambassador and proactively promoting Northrop as an employer of choice.

What are we looking for?

- Proactivity, initiative and a strong drive to deliver are essential to success in this role.
- Prior recruitment experience in a professional services environment, with demonstrated experience of having added value at a both a strategic and operational level.
- Expertise in talent market mapping, competitive research and sourcing techniques across multiple platforms. Showcase your ability to proactively source, manage and pool talent at a variety of levels.
- Exceptional internal and external stakeholder management skills - ability to establish rapport, influence, advise and communicate with confidence.
- Experience in employer branding and maximising external engagement initiatives, including events, campaigns and content.
- Strong capability in the effective use of systems/processes including ATS and other recruitment technology, along with the continuous improvement of systems/processes.
- Works co-operatively and respectfully with others, contributing positively to team outcomes and supporting a collaborative and productive working environment.
- Demonstrates the ability to work autonomously, take ownership of responsibilities and remain accountable for deliverables.
