The Opportunity

A 6 month temporary opportunity has become available based in the Sydney CBD offices, commencing as soon as possible.

Reporting to the Collections Manager, you will support the wider collections team by managing a portfolio of consumer mortgage accounts up to 30 days in arrears.

This role requires a balanced approach — achieving strong recovery outcomes while maintaining empathy and professionalism when working with customers.

Key responsibilities include:

- Contacting customers to discuss overdue accounts and recover outstanding arrears in a professional and respectful manner




- Negotiating and implementing realistic repayment arrangements tailored to each customer’s situation
- Monitoring repayment plans and following up on commitments
- Liaising with internal stakeholders including Customer Service, Credit and Legal teams to resolve matters efficiently
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with internal processes and regulatory requirements
- Achieving individual KPIs while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team environment

About You

To be successful in this chance, you will bring the following experience and qualities:

- Minimum 18 months’ collections experience within financial services OR 18 months customer service experience within a financial services environment
- Confidence managing sensitive conversations regarding overdue accounts
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
- A proactive mindset and the ability to quickly integrate into an established team
- Availability to commence immediately or at short notice will be highly regarded

OTE $80,000–$100,000 | Uncapped Commissions.
