About Us Picture a career that's more than numbers. At the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF), we're building a world-class Treasury for South Australia --one that's innovative, collaborative, and future-focused.
We're South Australia's lead agency for economic, digital, and financial policy outcomes. Our work touches every corner of the state, from enabling frontline services to driving digital transformation. And we do it all with one purpose: to make life better for the people who call South Australia home.
Why This Role Matters
This is a rare opportunity to take on a pivotal leadership role within the Super SA Finance team, where your expertise will help safeguard the financial integrity of one of South Australia's most trusted superannuation funds. The role sits at the centre of strategic decision-making, providing influential advice to senior leaders and governance boards while shaping how financial stewardship, reporting and governance evolve in a changing regulatory environment.
You will lead initiatives that strengthen accountability, transparency and long-term sustainability for Super SA's schemes, helping deliver confidence and certainty to current and former public sector employees. Your work will have a meaningful and lasting impact, supporting outcomes that benefit members, government and the broader South Australian community.
About The Opportunity
As Associate Director, Finance Schemes, you'll lead a specialist team responsible for delivering exceptional financial stewardship,
governance and reporting outcomes across Super SA's superannuation schemes and governance boards. Working closely with executive leaders, governance boards, auditors and government stakeholders, you'll provide trusted strategic advice on complex financial reporting, accounting policy, taxation governance and regulatory matters.
This is an opportunity to influence decisions of significant organisational importance, drive continuous improvement and champion innovative solutions that strengthen financial governance and organisational performance. You'll play a leading role in shaping financial strategy, improving reporting and assurance frameworks, and fostering a culture of excellence, accountability and collaboration within a high-performing team
Why Join Us
At DTF, you'll join a high-performing team tackling complex challenges that matter to South Australians. As a senior leader, you'll influence strategic decision-making, shape the future of financial governance and drive improvements that create lasting value for Super SA members. Supported by collaborative colleagues and a culture that encourages innovation and growth, you'll have the prospect to make a genuine impact while building a rewarding leadership career.
