ABOUT THIS POSITION The role has two key purposes:
- Lead and execute the business events program including, conferences, sponsorships, meetings, roadshows, roundtables, webinars, which are delivered as in person, virtual and in hybrid formats. The events program is designed to increase and reinforce brand and investment solution awareness and retention, and
- Help deliver and support marketing initiatives, across intermediary and institutional audiences.
ROLE SUMMARY
- Requires strong event management expertise and the ability to independently manage complex events, budgets, suppliers and stakeholders from planning through to delivery and evaluation.
- Works within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Accountable for their own contributions; regularly verifies that work quality and timeliness meet team objectives.
- Operates independently within agreed objectives, demonstrating initiative, sound judgement and accountability for managing priorities and delivering outcomes. Independently manages event planning and execution, including venue selection, vendor management, budgets, food and beverage, audio visual and production. Develops creative event experiences and marketing activations aligned with business and marketing objectives, using AI and emerging tools to enhance delivery and engagement.
- Negotiates standard event contracts as assigned. Completes expense management, budget reconciliation, and event analysis tasks as assigned. Keeps track of event participant/invitee/ stakeholder engagement and contributes to the development of reports for management.
- Independently manages event planning, coordination and in office delivery. Uses engagement tools, data and analytics to enhance the client experience,
measure performance against KPIs and provide clear post-event reporting and insights to inform future event planning and marketing activity.
- Applies a strong understanding of asset management and investment concepts to manage content development, navigate stakeholder and compliance requirements, and oversee content through review and approval processes.
- Develop relationships with legal, compliance, and other contacts within the organization. Confirms event alignment with common policies and business unit-specific criteria and requirements.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares materials and conducts vendor and site research.
- Book’s venues and completes other related tasks as directed. Supports the development of proposals on food and beverage, audio visual, and other event vendors for review by more experienced professionals to ensure they meet the organization's partnership standards.
- Translates the marketing plan into creative event experiences and activations, leveraging AI and emerging tools to drive innovation, engagement and efficient execution. Negotiates standard event contracts as assigned. Completes expense management, budget reconciliation, and event analysis tasks as assigned. Keeps track of event participant/invitee/ stakeholder engagement and contributes to the development of reports for management.
- Executes event planning and coordination activities and may complete on-site event management tasks as assigned. Executes on the use of engagement tools to enhance the client experience and drive data.
- Begins to develop relationships with legal, compliance, and other contacts within the organization. Confirms event alignment with common policies and business unit-specific criteria and requirements.
- Leads the organisation of virtual event program, including creating and updating virtual events and reporting.
- Works with the company’s platforms and software systems to deliver daily activities, including event platforms (across in-person, virtual & hybrid) as well as procurement, compliance, enablement, data collection & analytics, CRM and social media platforms.
PREFERRED (OR ESSENTIAL) QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Min 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Event or Marketing experience at financial services company or equivalent experiences, or strong interest in event and asset management industry
- Knowledge of asset management industry and business practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- MS Office proficiency
- Team-oriented

- Knowledge of event management platforms, incl. virtual
