About The Position Bond University is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Occupational Therapist Academic to join our Occupational Therapy discipline as an Assistant Professor (Level A) or Associate Professor (Level B), Teaching Focused, on a part-time (0.6 FTE), two-year fixed-term appointment. This exciting opportunity will contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of Bond University’s Master of Occupational Therapy and Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy programs, working alongside a passionate team of academics, clinicians and industry professionals committed to excellence and innovation in Occupational Therapy education.
Our Master of Occupational Therapy is distinguished by its unique blend of case-based learning, practical application and more than 1,000 hours of practice-based education. Students gain experience across a broad range of clinical contexts and have opportunities to collaborate with community and industry partners through innovative research and industry projects.
In this role, you will contribute to teaching across the breadth of Occupational Therapy, with emphasis aligned to your area of clinical and/or academic expertise.
You will also support practical and case-based learning, contribute to practice education, and supervise clinical, industry and/or research activities undertaken by Occupational Therapy students.
Our programs are accredited by the Occupational Therapy Council of Australia and the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) and accreditation by ACOTE in the United States, reflecting our commitment to excellence in OT education and international recognition.
Requirements
About the Person
We are looking for passionate and driven Occupational Therapists who are registered (or eligible for registration) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra). Ideal candidates will hold a Doctoral qualification and bring a proven track record of excellence in effective teaching, learning, scholarship, appropriate to the level of appointment.
For the Associate Professor role, we are seeking candidates who demonstrate strong leadership, management, and team-building capabilities to inspire and support both staff and students.

Salary details The salary for this position will be negotiated commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience.
Salary packaging options are available. The level of appointment will be determined by the Selection Panel.
Associate Professor (Level B) in Occupational Therapy: The salary for this 0.6 FTE position commences at $103,918 per annum, plus 12% superannuation. Full-time Equivalent is $173,197.62 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
Assistant Professor (Level A) in Occupational Therapy: The salary for this 0.6 FTE position commences at $99,006.58 per annum, plus 12% superannuation. Full-time Equivalent is $165,010.96 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
This position is based at The Bond Institute of Health and Sport, Robina, located in the Robina Health precinct. A purpose-built teaching and training facility featuring contemporary clinical and teaching environments.
Occupational
Therapy students have access to specialised facilities including the Work Play Lab, Activities of Daily Living Lab with an independent living workplace, paediatric facilities, and the Bond University Health and Wellness Clinic, providing rich opportunities for practical and authentic learning. Some travel between Bond University locations is required.
