Services Australia will be using the Aurora Neuroinclusion Program to attract, assess and place work ready candidates with autism spectrum disorder/condition or attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) into specialised roles across the agency.
Aurora recognises the unique skills and talents neurodivergent people can bring to work. It seeks to improve career outcomes and provides professional development and work experience by providing a gateway to the Australian Public Service.
About the program The Aurora Neuroinclusion Program design uses non-traditional recruitment methods to help to find talented neurodivergent jobseekers/candidates looking for a career.
The assessment process is tailored specifically to neurodivergent people to accurately identify and match candidates with specific skillsets needed by our business areas. There are no interviews or psychometric tests. The Program uses practical training exercises and an assessment centre environment to identify and match candidate skills to roles. Each candidate is assessed and evaluated against activities in a range of scenarios and competency-based assessments.

- An inclusive recruitment process that allows candidates to demonstrate their skills and abilities
- non-ongoing and ongoing employment with a market-competitive salary and working conditions
