Palms Artisan Bakery is seeking a skilled artisan sourdough baker to join our small dedicated team.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and bake a wide range of artisanal and traditional breads, including sourdough, rolls, and other yeast-based products.
- Maintain and refresh sourdough starter cultures to ensure consistent product quality.
- Monitor dough fermentation and proofing processes, making adjustments to temperature and timing as needed for optimal texture and flavour.
- Collaborate with the baking team to develop new bread recipes and seasonal variations based on customer demand.
- Operate and maintain baking equipment such as mixers, dough dividers, ovens, and proofers.
- Ensure cleanliness of the work area and strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations in line with bakery standards.
Must have relevant qualifications and/or at least 2 years of relevant experience
