About the role

Taree Railway Institute Bowling Club is seeking a Bar Steward Level 5 to join our hospitality team in Taree NSW 2430. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst maintaining the high standards our establishment is known for. As a Bar Steward Level 5, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our bar operations, ensuring exceptional service standards and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all our guests.

This position is essential to the smooth running of our service operations and contributes directly to our reputation for excellence in hospitality.

Key responsibilities

- Maintain exceptional cleanliness and organisation standards throughout the bar area, including glassware, bottles and equipment
- Prepare and stock the bar with beverages, garnishes and supplies as required
- Manage inventory of bar supplies and report stock levels to management
- Operate bar equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers, refrigeration units and beverage dispensers, also POS and gaming equipment
- Comply with health and safety regulations and responsible service of alcohol guidelines
- Support the bar team in delivering prompt and professional customer service
- Maintain personal hygiene and appearance standards in line with hospitality requirements
- Contribute to a positive team environment and assist colleagues as needed

- Responsibility for lock ups
- Accurate cash handling of safe and tills
- Willingness to engage with lower level staff to assist them in achieving higher skills

What we're looking for

- Previous experience working in a hospitality environment
- Knowledge of bar, cellar, Keno and gaming operations including cleaning procedures and stock management
- Understanding of health,



safety and food handling standards relevant to hospitality venues
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment during peak service times
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry items regularly
- Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work casual shifts including evenings and weekends
- Certification in Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG)
