About the role

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will work with children, young people and adults with a range of disabilities and support needs. This is an opportunity to work in a practice where quality matters more than quantity, where practitioners are supported to do meaningful clinical work, and where you can build genuine relationships with the people you support.

Key responsibilities

- Completing functional behaviour assessments and behaviour assessments
- Developing, implementing and reviewing evidence-based Behaviour Support Plans
- Working collaboratively with participants, families, support workers and other professionals
- Supporting participants to develop skills and increase their independence
- Providing practical strategies that can be implemented by support teams
- Completing observations, data collection and functional assessments
- Providing training and coaching to families and support workers
- Monitoring outcomes and reviewing strategies based on data
- Supporting the reduction and elimination of restrictive practices where applicable
- Maintaining high-quality clinical documentation and NDIS compliance

About you

- Relevant tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, disability, counselling or another relevant discipline




- Experience working with people with disability and/or complex support needs
- Understanding of positive behaviour support and the NDIS
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work remotely
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check, where applicable
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Passionate about improving the lives of people with disability
- Person-centred, compassionate and non-judgemental
