About the role

BOTO is the hospitality offering within The Boatshed Market in Cottesloe, combining quality food, wine and genuine service in a relaxed but premium environment.

We’re looking for experienced and enthusiastic fulltime or casual workerto join our front-of-house team. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves hospitality and providing exceptional service, but is looking for more lifestyle-friendly hours than a traditional restaurant environment.

With BOTO closing by 9pm, there are no late-night finishes.

Key responsibilities

- Greet and seat guests, providing a warm and professional first impression
- Deliver attentive, knowledgeable table service throughout the guest journey
- Provide informed wine recommendations and pairings to enhance the dining experience
- Take and process food and beverage orders accurately using our POS system
- Assist with the responsible service of alcohol in line with liquor licensing requirements
- Support the training and mentoring of new front of house staff
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across the dining area
- Handle guest queries, feedback, and any issues promptly and professionally
- Collaborate closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow




- Assist with opening/closing duties and general front of house operations

About you

- Wine knowledge/experience – confident guiding guests through our wine list and making thoughtful recommendations
- Approved Manager Card (WA) – current and valid
- Staff training experience – comfortable onboarding and mentoring recent team members
- Food service experience – proven background in a busy restaurant or hospitality venue
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering great guest experiences
- Ability to stay calm and organised during busy service periods
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
- A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
