About the Role

Aecad is looking for an experienced Building Designer / Revit Technician to join our growing architectural and building design practice. This is an chance to take an active role in delivering a range of commercial and industrial projects across Western Australia and interstate. Working closely with clients and the project team, you will be involved throughout the project lifecycle — from understanding the initial brief and developing design concepts through to design development, statutory approvals and detailed construction documentation.

The role will suit someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work, has a strong understanding of building design and documentation, and can confidently turn design ideas into practical, well-coordinated and buildable outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

- Develop and deliver high-quality architectural documentation using Revit.
- Build and manage Revit models throughout the various stages of a project, from early design development through to construction documentation.
- Translate design concepts and project requirements into practical, buildable architectural documentation.
- Work closely with structural, services and other consultants to ensure coordinated documentation.
- Review documentation to identify inconsistencies,



omissions and potential construction or coordination issues before issue.
- Maintain project Revit standards, modelling conventions, drawing templates and documentation quality.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an experienced architectural designer/ documentation professional who is confident working in Revit and understands what it takes to turn a design into a well-coordinated, buildable project. Ideally, you will have:
- At least 5 years' experience in architectural design, documentation or a similar role.
- Strong, preferably advanced, Revit skills and confidence working within a structured BIM environment.
- A practical understanding of Australian construction techniques, materials and architectural detailing.
- Good working knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Australian Standards.
- A strong eye for detail and a methodical approach to checking drawings and documentation.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and project deadlines.
- Clear communication skills and the confidence to work both independently and as part of a wider project team.

Experience in commercial, automotive, retail, industrial or other complex projects will be highly regarded.
