The company works with supermarkets and independent grocery retailers to improve pricing accuracy, operational efficiency and waste management. Its software simplifies expiry-date checking and markdown processes, helping stores reduce food waste, protect margins and save staff time.
The solution is currently used in approximately 120 stores. A free three-month pilot program provides prospective customers with an opportunity to test the software and measure its value before committing.
The role
This is primarily a new-business sales position, with some responsibility for implementation and project management.
The successful candidate will take commercial ownership of the food-waste software offering, convert existing pilot stores, develop new opportunities and onboard additional grocery customers. The initial growth objectives include converting approximately 10 pilots and securing around 25 additional stores.
The position will also become the internal product lead, working directly with the business owner and providing input into future market and product opportunities.

- Develop new business across the Australian grocery sector
- Build relationships with supermarket owners, operators and retail decision-makers
- Convert existing pilot stores into ongoing customers
- Conduct product demonstrations and commercial presentations
- Manage proposals, negotiations and contract closure
- Coordinate customer onboarding and implementation
- Develop detailed knowledge of the software and its commercial applications
- Maintain accurate pipeline, activity and forecast reporting
- Attend customer meetings and industry events nationally

Experience The preferred background includes:
- At least five years of sales or business-development experience
- A demonstrated record of winning new customers
- Experience within Australian grocery, FMCG, retail technology or SaaS
- Knowledge of independent supermarkets and grocery retail operations
- Robust commercial, communication and negotiation skills
- The ability to manage sales activity and customer projects with limited supervision
Experience selling retail software, POS, inventory, merchandising, electronic shelf labels or other store-operations solutions would be advantageous. Relevant candidates may also come from supermarket operations or FMCG suppliers specialising in perishable categories such as dairy, meat, seafood, produce, deli, bakery, chilled or frozen foods.
The position can be based in Sydney or Melbourne, with approximately one to two office days per week and national travel as required.
