Funktion Australia Pty Ltd is one of Australia's leading suppliers of coding, marking, labelling and product identification solutions. We partner with some of Australia's largest food manufacturers, logistics companies, packaging businesses and industrial organisations, supplying complete solutions including equipment, labels, ribbons, printheads, software, servicing and technical support.

Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team based in Chelsea Heights, Victoria.

About the Role

This is a true business development role focused on identifying new opportunities while also building strong, long-term customer relationships.

You'll work closely with our highly experienced technical team to deliver complete coding, marking and labelling solutions that genuinely improve our customers' production operations.

What You'll Be Doing

- Developing new business opportunities across Victoria and interstate.
- Building long-term relationships with manufacturers and production facilities.
- Visiting customer sites to understand production requirements.
- Recommending complete coding, marking and labelling solutions.
- Selling capital equipment, software,



consumables and ongoing service solutions.
- Preparing quotations and following projects through from initial enquiry to installation.
- Working alongside our technical service team to ensure exceptional customer outcomes.

We're Looking For Someone With

- Previous sales experience within the coding, marking, labelling or industrial printing industry.
- Experience selling complete machine solutions, not just consumables.
- Solid knowledge of one or more of the following technologies:
- Print & Apply
- Continuous Inkjet (CIJ)
- Thermal Inkjet (TIJ)
- Thermal Transfer Printing
- Industrial Label Printing
- The ability to identify customer needs and provide technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A self-motivated attitude with a proven ability to generate new business.
- A current Australian Driver's Licence.
