About the Role This is an excellent prospect for an light Senior or Senior Accountantwho wants to work closely with highly regarded Directors and Senior Managers, gain exposure to a broad client base, and be part of a genuinely supportive and high-performing team. This position offers excellent hands-on experience, client exposure and the chance to further develop your technical and advisory capability.
Key duties will include but not be limited to:
- Developing a strong understanding of clients’ businesses and operations
- Preparing financial statements and income tax returns
- Communicating directly with clients and building trusted relationships
- Managing your work with a growing level of autonomy
- Using Xero, Class Super and MYOB in day-to-day client work
- Assisting with management accounting responsibilities for selected clients
- Supervision of 3 junior accountants depending on your level
About You Along with your strong work ethic and previous experience in a similar role you'll have/be:
- At least 3 years’ experience in Business Services or public practice accounting
- Full Australian working rights or be a permanent resident
- Currently undertaking, or completed, CA or CPA studies
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A motivated, ambitious and team-oriented approach
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
