Loram is a global pioneer in track maintenance technology, machinery, and services. We continue supporting rail operations globally by delivering innovative solutions. We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our Brisbane team and help keep our people, assets and operations moving. There is a lot that goes into keeping our rail operations moving, having the right parts, services and equipment arrive at the right time is a big part of it, and that’s where you come in.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll coordinate purchasing from requisition through to delivery, working closely with suppliers and teams across Maintenance, Inventory, Warehouse, Finance and Operations.

Day to day, you will:

- Raise and manage purchase orders, stock transfers and replenishment orders.
- Follow up suppliers on pricing, confirmations, delivery dates and delays.
- Keep stakeholders informed of order progress and emerging supply risks.
- Resolve delivery, quality, receipting and invoice-related issues.
- Support supplier selection, onboarding and performance improvement.
- Look for practical ways to improve cost, value and purchasing efficiency.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, keeping across the detail and following things through. You’ll be comfortable managing multiple priorities, building strong supplier relationships and stepping in early when an order or delivery is at risk.





What you’ll bring:

- Experience in purchasing, procurement, buying or supply chain coordination.
- Experience in rail, mining, engineering, maintenance, industrial or another asset-intensive environment.
- Robust attention to detail and commercial judgement.
- Confident communication and supplier engagement skills.
- ERP systems experience, with IFS highly regarded.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Freight or logistics experience will be an advantage.
