Bookplate, located inside the National Library of Australia, is searching for casual chefs to join our kitchen team.

The number of hours available are flexible - from 15 to 25 hours per week, more or less depending on your availability and how busy the cafe is.

- A minimum 1 year experience cooking in a commercial kitchen environment
- Experience and understanding of regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment as required
- A high level of verbal communication skills
- An appreciation of quality food and food service
- Fully qualified chef -What the job entails:
- Preparing, seasoning,



cooking and plating dishes to our recipes in a timely manner for cafe service
- Maintaining a workstation that is clean & hygienic whilst adhering to all relevant food and safety guidelines
- General kitchen cleaning duties where required -
