The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor to join a specialist team, providing advocacy, advice, ongoing legal support and representation to clients navigating complex and sensitive legal matters. You will manage your own files, advise on confidentiality and privilege issues and represent clients in relevant court proceedings.

Working closely with other legal and non-legal professionals, you will identify clients’ broader support needs and facilitate appropriate referrals. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to community legal education and law reform initiatives while developing valuable specialist advocacy experience.





The Ideal Person

You will be an admitted solicitor with at least two years’ post-admission experience in family law and domestic and family violence,

You will also possess:

- Strong legal analysis, advocacy and file management skills;
- Excellent interpersonal and client communication capabilities;
- The ability to provide calm and practical advice in emotionally charged situations;
- Sound judgement when identifying risk and appropriate support pathways;
- A collaborative and compassionate approach; and
- A genuine commitment to improving access to justice.
