- Yallourn or Morwell based, with opportunities to work across both campuses
- Flexible hours from 20–38 hours per week, depending on your circumstances
- $32.31 per hour + Super

About the role:
Based at our busy Yallourn and/or Morwell Campuses, an exciting opportunity is available for a Canteen Attendant to join the TAFE Gippsland team in a casual capacity.
As a Canteen Attendant, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and positive experience for our staff and students. You will be responsible for preparing and serving a range of hot and cold food and beverages, providing friendly and efficient customer service, and maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment.
You will follow established food safety and hygiene procedures while delivering a high level of customer service and contributing to a positive, customer-focused canteen environment.
Qualifications and experience:
- Safe Food Handling certificate & a thorough understanding of occupational health and safety and protected food handling practices
- Cookery and food preparation skills (desirable)
- Cash handling experience
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work as part of a cohesive team in a busy environment
- Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to learn with a can-do attitude
Mandatory requirements
- Current Victorian Working with Children Clearance
- Current Police Check (not older than 12 months old)
- Current Driver’s License (some travel between campuses is a requirement of the role)
