Case Manager – Pilbara Support Network | Newman
Part-Time | Newman, WA Pilbara Support Network (PSN) is a service of Ngarliyarndu Bindirri Aboriginal Corporation (NBAC), supporting individuals and families across the Pilbara.
We are seeking a part-time Case Manager based in Newman to join our Family Support team and work directly with families, individuals and community stakeholders.
Reporting to the Family Support Team Leader, the Case Manager will support clients to reach their goals, overcome barriers and strengthen connections with their community and relevant services.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Building and maintaining strong, positive relationships with families and individuals.
- Supporting families to develop practical life skills in the home and within the community.
- Identifying barriers and working collaboratively with families and stakeholders to address them.
- Maintaining accurate case notes and ensuring program information is recorded in accordance with procedures.
- Connecting families with community groups, cultural networks and relevant support services.
- Working collaboratively with local services and stakeholders to support positive outcomes for families in Newman.
About You
You are compassionate, self-motivated and comfortable working within a community-based environment. You understand the importance of building trust, maintaining professional boundaries and providing culturally respectful support. To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A relevant qualification or willingness to obtain one, and/or experience in human services, community services or a related field.
- The ability to work independently while remaining connected to and supported by the broader Pilbara Support Network team.
- Strong communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of vulnerable children, young people and families, including the impacts of trauma, attachment and child development.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and diverse cultural groups, demonstrating cultural awareness and respect.
- The ability to travel locally and to other locations where required.
Essential requirements
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
- National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working with Children Check
