About the role

Gasworks Medical Practice is seeking a vibrant, warm and fun-loving Medical Receptionist to join the GMP team. If you're a people person who wants to make a positive impact, we'd love to meet you!

We are offering a casual position of 16 to 22 hours per week, including weekend shifts, with additional hours available to cover sick leave and holiday periods. Remuneration: We offer pay in accordance with the applicable Health Professionals and Support Services Award (HPSS Award). The classification and rate will reflect the successful applicant's experience, skills and the level of responsibility and duties they undertake, with opportunities for the right person to grow within the role.

Key responsibilities

- Provide genuine empathy and excellent customer service to make each patient feel valued
- Demonstrate organisational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Work autonomously, multitask and remain calm under pressure




- Apply problem solving skills collaboratively with team members to find suitable resolutions
- Maintain confidentiality and a high standard of professionalism with patients, referring doctors, and team members
- Demonstrate a strong, reliable work ethic

About you

- Genuine empathy and excellent customer service skills

- Confidentiality and high standard of professionalism
- Strong, reliable work ethic
- Previous medical receptionist experience is highly valued, although training can be provided
- CPR/Triage training and/or experience (desirable)
- Basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel (desirable)
- Experience with Best Practice or similar medical software (desirable)
