- Develop business with existing Members and assigned Suppliers
- Identify and convert new membership opportunities across the designated territory
- Connect Suppliers with Members
- Promote Capricorn products, services and events
- Grow the value Members receive from their relationship with Capricorn
- Plan and run an autonomous field-based schedule with leader support
- Meet Members, prospects and Suppliers, primarily in the field
- Manage administration, follow-up and reporting
- Manage a portfolio of approximately 350 Members, including regional territories
- Grow existing business and maintain regular engagement with priority Members
- Build a robust local network and identify commercial opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams to progress solutions
- Travel approximately every 6-8 weeks, generally for one week at a time

Requirements

- Proven experience in business development, relationship management or high-level customer service
- Strong business development and opportunity-identification capability
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong personal organisation, attention to detail and administration skills
- Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and run an effective field-based schedule
- Commercial awareness and sound negotiation skills highly regarded
- Experience in the automotive, industrial or manufacturing sectors highly regarded




- Knowledge of the automotive parts and service industry or automotive supply chain highly regarded but not essential
- Experience in a BDM role or previous experience within a two-sided community role highly regarded
- Confidence working with suppliers and internal specialists to develop customer solutions and sales opportunities
- Established local network or demonstrated ability to build one quickly
- Current valid driver’s licence essential
- Relevant qualifications in business management or sales and/or previous experience in a field-based and autonomous role highly regarded
