About the role
This role plays a key part in supporting department, branch, and corporate goals across profit, growth, service, and strong producer and client relationships.

In this role, you will:

- Achieve personal premium budget and financial targets across rate, retention, new business, and renewals
- Underwrite within delegated authority across all lines, including new business, renewals, and endorsements
- Assess risks outside authority and make explicit recommendations for acceptance or declination
- Support underwriting analysis, profit review, market insight, competitor analysis, and ad hoc reporting
- Take ownership of underwriting results for your assigned portfolio
- Monitor claims activity and communicate with stakeholders as needed
- Help improve and develop the renewal process
- Build and manage strong producer relationships, responding to queries and resolving issues
- Keep stakeholders informed of market and producer challenges
- Support underwriting training and producer relationship development where required
- Deliver exceptional service to both external and internal stakeholders
