Suzie Q is looking for its next Venue Manager.

Part of MAMAS Dining Group, Suzie Q brings together bold flavours, cocktails, music and the kind of lively hospitality that keeps people coming back. Now, we're looking for an experienced hospitality leader who can take ownership of the venue, build a great team and keep pushing the operation forward. Leading from the front, setting the standard for service and creating an environment where both our guests and our crew want to be.

THE ROLE

As Venue Manager, you'll take ownership of the overall performance of Suzie Q, balancing exceptional hospitality with strong commercial and operational management.

You'll lead the management team, develop your crew and work closely with the wider MAMAS leadership team to make sure Suzie Q continues to perform at its best.

You'll be responsible for:

Leading the day to day operation of the venue and setting the pace on the floor

Building a solid, engaged and accountable management and FOH team

Coaching and developing your leaders rather than simply managing around them

Driving consistently high service standards and an exceptional guest experience

Taking ownership of venue performance, including labour, COGS, revenue and other key commercial targets

Planning effective rosters that balance the needs of the business with the needs of the team

Driving bookings, functions, events and other opportunities to grow venue revenue

Working closely with the kitchen leadership team to create a genuinely connected FOH and BOH operation

Managing guest feedback and service recovery confidently and professionally

Maintaining strong standards across presentation, compliance, RSA, safety and venue operations

Identifying what's working, what isn't and where we can do things better

Creating a culture where people know what's expected of them,



feel supported and are proud of the venue they work in

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for someone who knows how to run a great restaurant, and lead the people inside it.

You'll ideally have:

Previous Venue Manager, Restaurant Manager or senior hospitality management experience in a busy, high-volume environment - Approx. 2 years.

A strong understanding of restaurant operations and commercial performance

Confidence managing labour, COGS, budgets and venue KPIs

A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences

Strong people leadership skills, with experience coaching and developing managers and team members

The ability to set clear expectations and hold people accountable while still building a positive culture

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Confidence making decisions and solving problems in a fast-moving environment

Energy, resilience and personality

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who cares about their venue.

Someone who notices the details. Who knows their team. Who understands their numbers. Who wants the restaurant to be better next month than it was this month.
