Salary Range: $102,640 - $109,563 per annum + super

Location: Townsville

About The Role

As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a key role in helping drive Council's financial performance and strategic decision-making. Working closely with leaders across the organisation, including General Managers and Executive stakeholders, you will provide expert financial advice, analysis and insights that support informed business decisions and the delivery of Council's Corporate Plan.

This is a highly cooperative role where you will build strong partnerships across a diverse range of operational and corporate portfolios. You will contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes, analyse financial performance, provide meaningful reporting and recommendations, and support stakeholders to achieve their business objectives. As part of a dedicated team of Finance Business Partners, you will help foster a culture of accountability, transparency and continuous improvement while contributing to the growth and success of Townsville.

About You

You are a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders and influencing positive business outcomes. You bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into practical advice for non-financial audiences.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have:

- A Bachelor of Business (Accounting)



or equivalent qualification.
- CA, CPA or similar professional membership certification, or be working towards completion.
- Significant experience (minimum 3 years) in a Finance Business Partner or similar advisory-focused finance role.
- Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting system experience.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering exceptional customer-focused outcomes.
- A current Queensland "C" Class Driver Licence.
