Synopsis The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) seeks applications for Chair and member roles on External Reporting Australia’s (ERA) technical standard-setting boards, which will be responsible for making accounting, auditing and assurance, and sustainability standards from 1 December 2026.

About The Roles

Roles on ERA’s standard-setting boards are part time statutory appointments made under the Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act 2001 expected to commence from 1 December 2026.

ERA will be a new Commonwealth entity commencing operations on 1 December 2026 which will bring together functions from the FRC, Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) and Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AUASB).



A Governing Council will oversee three technical standard-setting boards responsible for day-to-day standard-setting activities in relation to accounting, auditing and assurance and sustainability standards.
