Chef

B.L.T KOREA PTY LTD (trading as Korean Chicken & Cannon Hill) has newly opened a Korean restaurant. We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate chef to join our kitchen team.

Position: Chef

Work Hours: 38 hours per week

Work Type: Full time

Duration: Permanent (at least 2 years)

Workplace: Kmart Plaza, Shop C7/1909 Creek Rd, Cannon Hill, QLD 4170

Annual Salary: $77,500 + superannuation (12%)

You will perform the following tasks for the role:

1. Perform the activities of kitchen for the purpose of commercial cookery,
2. Discuss food preparation issues with the restaurant manager,
3. Check food to ensure its quality,
4. Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment,
5. Prepare food for cooking,
6. Cook food by a range of methods (e.g. baking, braising, frying, roasting or steaming),
7. Divide food into portions and make sure that the food is well presented,
8. Clean food preparation areas and equipment,
9. Store food in temperature-controlled facilities,
10. Receive and store supplies,
11.



Make sure kitchen is hygienic and functional,
12. Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements,
13. Give directions to cook helpers.

To be successful, you must satisfy the following requirements: (1) Demonstrated relevant work experience in a similar role within the food industry

(2) Proven ability to conduct the above tasks in kitchen

(3) Qualification/s in hospitality (commercial cookery) or related discipline

(4) Excellent cooking skills in Korean cuisine

(5) Applicants with Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship will be highly regarded.
