We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our dedicated team at mecwacare John Hood Terrace, our newly redeveloped 77-room residential aged care home, located in the vibrant heart of Richmond.

About the role:

- Casual position available
- Rostered shifts may be scheduled between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, across weekdays and weekends.
- Conveniently located just 400m from Richmond Station, with easy access to public transport including the number 78 tram.
- Work from our Richmond location and support a valued local community

What you bring:

- Previous experience in aged Care.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in hospitality.
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.
- HLTFSE001 Follow basic food safety practices (Release 1).
- HLTFSE005 Apply and monitor food safety requirements (Release 1).




- HLTFSE007 Oversee the day-to-day implementation of food safety in the workplace (Release1).
- Food Safety Supervisor.
- Demonstrated knowledge of kitchen operations and management of kitchen staff.
- Experience in working to a set budget
- Ability to provide a high standard of customer service
- Availability to work weekends and weekdays.
- Experience in the preparation and presentation of food for large groups.
